Sports Highlights for the Week of 10/29

On Sunday, October 29, the Cheerleaders competed in the GMC Championships, winning two championships - Routine for Teams of Under 17 and Non-Tumble. The Trojans placed second in the performance category.

On Tuesday, October 31, the Girls Volleyball Team defeated Newark Academy in the first round of the State Tournaments. The team's top players were Caroline Trevino, Makila Billingsley, and Nastasha Espinosa.

On Wednesday, November 1, the Boys Varsity Soccer team defeated East Brunswick Tech with a score of 6-1. Goals were scored by Robert DeSantis, Issiah Salazar (2), Jude Roche, Tomas Aquino, and John Loftus. Assists were made by Raj Shah, John Dallagnese, and Jude Roche.

On Saturday, November 4, the Gymnastics team won State Sectionals to advance as the second seed to the Meet of Champions. Their team score of 113.275 was three points ahead of 2nd place Watching Hills
Regional HS and 4 points ahead of Cranford High School. Junior Ariyana Agarwala was the All Around State Sectional Champion taking the Champion title in Individual events: Vault, Bars, and Beam. Junior Skylar Davisson was 2nd in the All Around and the State Sectional Floor Champion.

The Bishop Ahr High School community would also like to congratulate John Dallagnese, John Loftus, Jude Roche, Ryleigh Greenwald, and Julie Pastore for being named "All Divison" in Soccer. Congratulations to all!
