Here are some Varsity highlights as the regular season quickly comes to a close:
On Monday, the Girls Soccer team shut out South Plainfield 7-0. Adrianna Westcott pulled off a hat trick and Jayana Correa scored two.
On Tuesday, the Girls Tennis team defeated South River 4-1. Victories were posted in singles by Isabella DeMesa, Johanna Lu, and Lauren Garda. Victories were posted in doubles by Sarah Girod and Jazmin Genao.
On Wednesday, the Girls Volleyball team defeated Roselle Catholic in 2 sets. Saadia Daoud had 5 service points & and digs. Jayda Ledford had 4 service points and 5 kills. Sam Miel had 6 assists and 4 service Poibts. Daria Telysheva had 17 assists. CJ Trevino had 11 kills and 8 service points, and Allison VanDemark had 6 service Points.
On Thursday, the Girls Tennis team defeated Dunellen 5-0. Victories were posted in singles by Isabella DeMesa, Johanna Lu, and Lauren Garda. Victories were posted in doubles by Sarah Girod-Jazmin Genao and Alyssa Sierra-Aryana Dehghan.
On Thursday, the Girls Soccer team defeated Metuchen 1-0 with the goal scored by Jayana Correa, assisted by Jillian Balsamo. Goalie Sachi Negri had 5 saves and Eryn Oldroyd had 6.
On Friday, the Girls Tennis team won its third match of the week with a score of 4-1 against South Amboy. Johanna Lu and Lauren Garda posted wins in singles and Aryana Dehghan-Alyssa Sierra and Sarah Girod-Jasmine Genao posted wins in doubles.
On Saturday, Freshman Lia Acosta won the GMC Cross Country tournament with a time of 20:47. Medalists for BGA were also Whitney Pepe, Elizabeth Pepe, and Vera McCoy. The Freshman team placed second overall and the Varsity medalist was Eleni Alvarez.
