On Friday September 16, 2016, the BGA
Class of 2020 anxiously filled the halls for BGA’s annual “We Ahr
Bishop Ahr” Day, better known as WABA Day.
After
the opening prayer prepared and led by Junior Laurel Prime, the “We Ahr
Bishop Ahr Cheer” began the activities of the day! This rousing cheer
was led by senior Ricky Peguero, who was a great second for Moses as he
parted the freshmen sitting on the floor.
The
freshmen were guided by the upperclassmen in numerous team-building and
spirit-filled activities. The program included helpful icebreakers and
activities led by sophomores, juniors, and seniors in small groups. The
highly competitive alphabet game was played by everyone in the gym and
the last team standing was Ms. Klimczak’s homeroom 9.2. Afterwards, a
scavenger hunt helped the Class of 2020 find out about the BGA building
and its people. These activities were done to unite the class of 2020
with the BGA community.
Also included was a
memorable skit presented by the Student Council and Class Officers to
showcase BGA's various clubs and activities. The Little Theatre was
rocking with the music of Mr. Joseph Cullinan, music director, and
members of the BGA band and chorus. With the singing of “Big House,”
“Trading Our Sorrows,” “Living on a Prayer,” and the new hit “A Rightful
Place,” the BGA spirit was alive and moving in the Little Theatre!
Chants
of “We Are Bishop Ahr” were heard loud and clear throughout the halls
of BGA! It was a great day filled with great spirit and great community!
The day ended with a heartfelt cheer performed by the Bishop Ahr
faculty and staff.
