Western Civ Students Infuse Technology into Ancient Rome
Posted on 12/07/2016
This week, students in Western Civilization began a DBQ Project on Rome and its collapse. Document Based Questions (or DBQ's) is an approach to Social Studies in which students use primary and secondary sources based around a particular topic to help conduct their own research. The students are working to write a 5-paragraph essay on the causes of Rome's "fall." After having read the sources, students use Chromebooks to engage in a writing lab where they are able to share their thesis statements and support paragraphs with their classmates and teacher for correction and editing.
